NFL Week 9 SNF: New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Preston’s Favorite Bets

The Line: New Orleans Saints (+144) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-174)

In the earlier match-up this season the Saints (5-2) walloped the Buccaneers (6-2) after starting slow. That was supposed to be the quarterback duel we all wanted to see. This game might be the one we all wanted in the first place. Could be worse, right?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is on a roll. Brady is completing 66.2% of his passes for 7.1 yards a catch. Running backs Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones are great options for Brady to dump the ball off to or hand off. I still feel like Brady is throwing to a bunch of tight ends but wide receiver Scotty Miller might be an x-factor tonight.

Arch nemesis Drew Brees is red-hot and will have a chance to slice up a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense playing on a short-week of rest. Brees is completing 73.1% of his passes for 7.5 yards a catch. Saints running back Alvin Kamara is a hard man to tackle and with the Buccaneers defense being great at stopping the run I see most of his work being done in the flats tonight if the offensive line struggles to get a push. Wide receiver Michael Thomas is listed as probable.

My pick: Saints ML (+144).

The money line opened with the Saints as a pretty big underdog. Since then the line has swung to (+144). I am respecting that sharp line movement.

My pick: FANDUEL SPORTSBOOK IS OFFERING A SPECIAL ODDS BOOST ON ALVIN KAMARA TO SCORE 2 TOUCHDOWNS TONIGHT (+650).
